Janice Lee Bonk Johnson, 71, passed away at her home from cancer on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in Billings, Montana. Janice was born on January 24, 1945 in Pensacola, Florida, where her father was stationed in the military. She was the daughter of Robert Herman Bonk and Myrtle Viola "Betty" Loken. The family lived in Billings, where Janice attended school, graduating from Billings High School in 1963.

Janice married Stephen M. Love and they had three sons, Robert,Alan and Lance. They later divorced.

Son Robert married Laura Larabee and they have two children, Joshua Love and Haley Love. Joshua is married to Corie Smith Love and they have a son, Eli Beckett Love, Janice's second great-grandson.

Son Alan married Danette DeMontigny Love and they have four children, Tia Love, Kale Love, Chance Love and Hunter Love. Tia is married to Kirk Stiles, and they have a son, Taije Allan Stiles, Janice's first great-grandson. Alan and Danette have adopted four, beautiful children, Michael Love, Miracle Love, Skye Love, and Sokoya Love.

Son Lance married Tracy Olson and they have one daughter, Ashlie Love. Ashlie has a son, Jax Love, Janice's third great-grandson.

Janice married Michael L. Ivanovitch. They had two sons, Shane and Shawn. Shawn Ivanovitch and Kelesia Bomar have a daughter, Kerstilin Bomar-Ivanovitch. Janice and Michael divorced.

In 1998, Janice married Harold S. Johnson. The past eighteen years they have enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and visiting some interesting foreign countries. Janice also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Janice's passion in life was genealogy. She wrote many books on all lines of her family, and also helped many other families in their genealogical research.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold; five sons and daughter-in-laws, Rob and Laura Love, Alan and Danette Love, Lance Love, Shane Ivanovitch and Shawn and Kelesia Bomar-Ivanovitch; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and many memorable friends and family members; Cleo Zickefoose, Susan Loken, Paulette Esser and family, Nancy Ronningen, Cathy Whitcomb, Evonne Ruppel, Thelma Riggs, Ann White, Theodore Slough and family, Harold's brother and wife, Harvey and Margaret Olson and family, sisters-in-law, Sharon Love-Ronessand family, Joanne Love-Gullet and family, Patt Ivanovitch Donich and family, Sally Ivanovitch-Austin and family, and her friend and fun partner in genealogy, Jackie Bjorgum.

Janice wanted to thank everyone from Home Health Services and Hospice for the wonderful care she received. She said that her only regret was she should have spent more time with her family,, because life goes by way too fast. She also wanted everyone to remember all fun times and laughs throughout the years, she loved you all!

There will not be a service. Inurnment will be in Terrace Gardens Cemetery in Billings on Monday, March 28, 2016.
