She was a native of Catawba County, born July 4, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Lois Sherrill Arndt.
Mrs. Jones loved cooking, gardening and especially her grandkids.
She was married to Thomas Alonzo Jones who preceded her in death in 1994. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold, Donald and Elmer Ray Arndt and one sister: Joann Eades.
Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons: Gary Arndt and his wife Vanessa of Claremont, Terry Jones of Catawba and Danny Jones and his wife Alicia of Conover, one daughter: Gayle Killian of Catawba, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral sevices celebrating her life will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Catawba United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Gardens in Hickory.
