Born in Hudson, John was the son of the late Otto and Elizabeth (Mattick) Binker.John attended Sacred Heart High School, Plains Township, and was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal.
He was employed by Wyoming Quality Beverage for 53 years before his retirement.
He was a former member of the Hudson Servicemen's Club, an avid bowler and sports fan.
John was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union, Local 401.He and his wife, the former Eleanor Bohinski, celebrated 65 years of marriage on July 1, 2015.
Preceding John in death were his brothers, Joseph, Francis, Otto and Paul Binker, and his sisters, Betty Catani, Dorothy DeAnthony, Julia Beretta and infant sister Mary Binker.
Surviving in addition to John's wife, Eleanor, are his sister, Mary Drew, Plains Township; sisters-in-law, Marie Kowalski and her husband, Stanley, and Jenny Figel; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank Dr. Frank Olshemski and his staff for their kindness and care of John for the past 27 years.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, with the Rev. John C. Lambert, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hudson section of Plains Township.
