JENRETTE - Retired Navy Chief Boatswain Mate, Don E. Jenrette, Sr. of Middleburg, FL passed away on September 21, 2000 at Orange Park Medical Center.

He was born September 20, 1925 in Alapaha, GA to the late Jesse Jenrette of Lake City, FL and late Mamie Swilley Jenrette of Nashville, GA.

A devoted husband, brother and father, he is survived by his wife, Connie Jenrette of Middleburg, FL; his brother, Emory Jenrette, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; sisters: Margaret Forehand of Tifton, GA, Betty Rainey of Valdosta, GA and Peggy Giddens of Ocilla, GA. He leaves eight children: Don E. Jenrette, Jr. of Bonaire, GA, Susan Cardona of Nashville, GA, US Air Force (Retired), John Cole of Orange Park, FL, Laura Cannarozzi of Middletown, RI, US Air Force Master Sergeant Scott Jenrette of Hampton, VA, Sheryl Hall of Middleburg, FL, US Air Force Captain Brian Jenrette of Alexandria, VA and Bruce Jenrette of Deltona, FL. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jenrette retired from the US Navy on May 15, 1963 in Newport, RI and resided in Portsmouth, RI till moving his family to Middleburg, FL in August 1982. He was a life-long member of the VFW.

Viewing will be Saturday, (September 23, 2000), 6-9 PM and funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, (September 24, 2000) at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park. Interment to follow at Holly Hill Cemetery in Middleburg, FL.
