Betty Jenrette Rainey, 77, of Nashville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Baya Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center in Live City, Fla. Born on Nov. 10, 1931, in Alapaha, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Benjamin and Mamie Lee Swilley Jenrette. She was associated with ITT Thompson in Adel for 28 years and she loved to travel. Mrs. Rainey was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nashville.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen, Margaret and husband, Billy, Betty and husband, John; son, Kenneth; daughter-in-law, Kathy Rainey; grandchildren, Ken, Jeff, Stacie, Rebecca, Will and Lindsey, George, Joseph, James; ; great-grandchildren, Emily, Isabelle, Abigail; her sisters, Margaret and Peggy; brother, Emory; and a very special niece, Carolyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy Rainey; sons, Scott Rainey and Little Sandy Rainey; grandson, Michael Harrell.
