Born April 10, 1916, in Galesburg, she was a daughter of Joseph E. and Alice B. Simmons Smith. She first married Frank Hunt April 16, 1933. He died Nov. 26, 1967. She married Ezra A. Friederich March 16, 1973. He died Dec. 7, 1973.
One son, David Hunt, her father, two brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Sharon Walker of Bartonville, Jeanne Christensen of Royal, Iowa, Donna Clausen of Kankakee, and Diana Sparks of Chillicothe; one son, Richard A. Hunt of Petersburg, Va.; her mother of Galesburg; one brother, Paul Smith of Germany; and three sisters, Viola Kessinger of Galesburg, Kathleen Potts of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Joyce Oglesby of Phoenix, Ariz.
Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
