David Lee Hunt, 36, a Spec. TS4 in the U.S. Army, who had just moved to Peoria from Puerto Rico, was pronounced dead yesterday at the home of his mother, 2100 W. Howett.

Peoria County Coroner Herbert Buzbee said Hunt was seated in his car in the garage. The car's motor had running and the garage door was partially open.

Mr. Hunt had served in the Army 15 years and was discharged in 1975. He had lived in Peoria about three months and had been working for the Peoria Partition Co. While in the service, he was a tank training officer.

Born Sept. 17, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of Frank and Maxine Smith Hunt, he married Julia Morales in Stuttgart, Germany July 28, 1962.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Natalie and Sherry Lynn, and a son, Terry Lee, who were living in Puerto Rico at an Army base, but were planning to move to Peoria soon.

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Maxine Freidricks, with whom he had been living, one brother, Richard, Fort Lee, Va.; and four sisters, Mrs. Jean Miller, Peoria, Mrs. Dale (Donna) Toedt, Kankakee, Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Walker, Bartonville, and Mrs. William (Diane) Sparks, Mossville. His father preceded him in death.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
