Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiating. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Novcahek was born March 15, 1866, in Czechslovakia, son of the late John and Mary Kopidlanski Novachek. When he was six the family brought him to this country, settling in Manitowoc County. He married the former Rose Rezba at Francis Creek Oct. 8, 1894, after which they settled on a farm in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, which they operated for 11 years. The family then moved to a farm in the Town of Gibson from which Mr. Novachek retired in 1934, the couple settling in Larrabee. After the death of his wife at Larrabee seven years ago he made his home with the Karbons.
Surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. Otto Strouf and Mrs. Wenzel Kanera of Larrabee, Mrs. Albert Mueller of Rt. 1 , Mishicot, and Mrs. Edward Kane of Green Bay; a son, Joseph Jr. of Rt. 1, Mishicot; a sister, Mrs. Frances Havlavec of Kellnersville; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday.
