ANN MUELLER

Anna (Ann) Mueller, age 99, of Manitowoc, died early Wednesday morning, April 27, 2005, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

She was born March 17, 1906, in the town of Gibson, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Rezba Novachek.

Ann was a graduate of the Larrabee Grade School, Mishicot High School where she was the valedictorian and also graduated from Manitowoc County Normal. She taught school at Lakeside Country School in the town of Gibson.

On July 25, 1928, she married Albert Mueller and they farmed the homestead farm. He preceded her in death May 9, 1996.

Ann was a member of the Mishicot Senior Citizens, the Wisconsin Czechs and sang with the Czech Choraliers. She translated many Czech songs into English and enjoyed planning skits and plays. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot from childhood until moving to Manitowoc in 1988 and an honorary member of Holy Cross Altar Society. In Manitowoc, she was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire until her eyesight failed. Over the years, she made many carpet rags and rugs on a homemade loom.

Survivors include a daughter: Betty Lochman; a son-in-law: Richard Tringali and Barbara; four grandchildren: Sue Johnson and Dan; Rick Tringali and Sarah; Donna Sowinski and John; and Rob Tringali; six great-grandchildren; and a sister: Lillian Kanera. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Grace Tringali; a son-in-law: Norbert Lochman; a grandson: John Tringali; two brothers: Ed and Joe; and three sisters: Mary, Emma and Eleanore.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
