JOSEPH NOVACHEK (d. 1987)

Joseph Novachek, 90, route 1, Mishicot, died Wednesday, November 11, 1987 at
Manitowoc Health Care Center. He was born January 17, 1897 in the Town of
Kossuth, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Rezba) Novachek. On June 14, 1921
he married Lydia Kohout at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Mr. Novachek
was the Assessor for the Town of Gibson from 1935 - 1955.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Delores Novachek,
rural Mishicot; three daughters, Mrs. Edmund (Florence) Breider, Two Rivers,
Mrs. Marjon Ross, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Lee (Carol) Wolf, Sheboygan; five sisters,
Mrs. Otto (Mary ) Strouf, Manitowoc; Mrs. Albert (Anna) Mueller, rural Mishicot;
Mrs. Edward (Emma) Kane, Green Bay; Mrs. Wenzel (Lillian) Kanera, Manitowoc;
Mrs. Harold (Eleanor) Karbon, Menasha; 15 grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Ed and one sister-in-law,
Merlyn Ross.
The funeral was Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rev. Donald Feller
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
