Catherine Burrows Miller, age 90, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Broadmeadow Nursing Home in Middletown, DE.

She was born May 31, 1925 in Dover, DE, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Burrows.

Catherine worked for JC Penneys in downtown Dover and for Playtex for many years.

She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, and loving her cats.

Her amazing spunk, sense of humor, and mass amount of wisdom will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Ralph Miller. She was also the last of 13 brothers and sisters in her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Vendrick of Smyrna, DE; her step-son, Thomas Miller and his wife, Julie of Archbold, OH; two grandchildren, Brad Vendrick and his fianceé, Denise of Dover, DE and Brandy Vendrick of Smyrna, DE; 5 great grandchildren; and many extended family members.

A viewing will held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm.

Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
