Michael was born in McDonald, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Lazaro Heredia and Alberta (Olmos) Heredia. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud to be a Marine. He worked for (43) years at the Saginaw Grey Iron Plant. He loved and adored all animals, especially the birds, dogs and the famous cartoon dog, (Snoopy). His favorite pastime was going to Hooters and enjoying a couple of beers.

He was an avid reader and had many books on a wide range of topics. He also enjoyed reading various magazines, and read The Saginaw News, Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News, daily.

He was survived by one sister, Josephine (Sotero) Flores, many nieces and nephews; special niece, and caregiver, Denise Heredia, nephews; Henry and Roland Hernandez, Bilal Heredia, John Flores and Patty Garcia. A very dear friend, Rita Marie Reittenbach of Gladwin, Michigan and longtime family friend, Bernandine Gross of Saginaw. A heartfelt thanks to Grace Gonzalez for all the help she gave Michael.
