Travis Elbridge Haislip of Route 3, Petersburg, died Friday night in the Community Hospital in Lewisburg following a long illness. He was 81 years old.
Services were Sunday afternoon in the chapel of the Davis-Ralston-Lee Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Bill Huitt and the Rev. Willie Hobbs officiating. Burial was in the Medium Cemetery.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Green Travis and Lou Couser Haislip. He was a veteran of World War I, a retired carpenter and farmer, and a member of the Delina Church of God.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eudalhia Burgett Haislip, Petersburg; a son, Dwayne Haislip, Lewisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Velna Smith and Mrs. Carrie Chesser, both of Louisville, Kentucky, and Miss Dessie Haislip, Lewisburg; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
