Emil Teske, 88, Retired Local Farmer, Dies

Emil Teske, 88, of 4340 St. Bridget's Road S.E., a retired Rochester Township farmer, died today at his home of complications from a stroke.

He was born Nov. 5, 1891, in Cascade Township, and married Mabel Lutzi on June 22, 1920, in Rochester. The couple farmed in Olmsted County, and have lived at their present farm for more than 40 years. He retired from farming in 1974.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Carolyn) Paulson of Minneapolis; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Otto (Betsy) Baker of Pine Island.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Rochester with the Revs. L.G. Parkhurst and Vern Carter co-officiating. The body will be cremated.

Vine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
