Mrs. Louis C. Behnken

VIOLA, Minn. (Special) - Mrs. Louis C. Behnken, 77, died Monday night at Olmsted Community Hospital, Rochester, where she had been a patient four days.

The former Rose Teske, she was born Jan. 6, 1883, at Portage, Wis., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Teske, and was married to Louis C. Behnken Oct. 15, 1902, at Rochester. Mrs. Behnken and her husband farmed in Haverhill Township until 1940 when they moved here.

She was a charter member of Ringe Mothers and Daughters Club of Haverhill and Trinity Lutheran Church, Elgin. Mr. Behnken died in 1956.

Survivors are: Two sons, Walter, Rochester, and Clarence, Viola; two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Rosolack, Elgin, and Mrs. Perry Huntoon, Plainview; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Henry, Emil and Charles, all of Rochester, and Edward, Fullerton, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Otto Baker, Pine Island, and a half-sister, Mrs. Emma Heyn, Rochester.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran, Elgin, the Rev. O. H. Dorn officiating. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lyle Rosolack, Richard and Clifford Huntoon, and Gordon, Kenneth and David Behnken. Friends may call at Johnson and Schriver Funeral Home, Plainview, from Wednesday noon until Thursday noon and at the church an hour before services. A memorial is being arranged.
