Barbara Glenn Wagner Heathcott, age 77, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on June 23, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on November 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Richard Wagner and Dessie Rhe Jenkins Wagner.

Barbara and Eddie were introduced by her brother Richard. They met, went on two dates and were married after only eleven weeks. July 5th would have been their 57th anniversary.

Her main employment was in the banking industry.

In the early years of their marriage, she and Eddie loved to square dance. They would also make crafts which they would sell at craft shows and in stores at several malls.

Barbara loved cookbooks, looking at recipes online and cooking. She was a great cook.

She loved her family and friends and would enjoy visiting with ones in Mississippi and Tennessee.
She loved studying and gathering family genealogy.

She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren every chance that she had.

Barbara was generous, sometimes to a fault. She loved helping others.

She was an interpreter for the deaf and worked in that capacity for the state.

She was a bus driver at the school for the deaf while she lived in Little Rock.

She was a caregiver for both her parents as well as her brother and a sister-in-law. She, Eddie and Alicia moved to Heber Springs in the mid 1980's to help take care of her parents.

Barbara loved her church family. As a believer, she was confident in her relationship with Christ and therefore was at peace with her cancer diagnosis.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard Wagner, Jr.

She is survived by her husband James Edward (Eddie) Heathcott, her daughters Ramona Bennett and her husband Howard and Alicia Heathcott and her grandchildren Alyse Bennett, Zachary Bennett and his wife Laura, Olivia Bennett and Moriah Bennett.
