MRS. ALICE FLOYD
Grave side services for Mrs. Alice A. Floyd, 83, who died Monday at her home in Kansas City, MO., will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Union cemetery. Rev. R. C. Jackson will officiate. The body will arrive in Winfield Wednesday and will be at the Swisher mortuary until time of interment.
Mrs. Floyd and her family were early day residents of Winfield and vicinity. She left here around 50 years ago and has lived in Kansas City since. Mrs. Pete Mitschler and Mrs. Ray Raysor of Winfield and Mrs. C. R. Hamilton of San Diego, CA., are nieces.
Mrs. Floyd is the former Mrs. Mentch. After her first husband's death, she alter married C. A. Floyd. He was a printer and died in 1934.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ica A. Bourne of the home: two sons, William A. Mentch, Kansas City, and Verne S. Mentch, Oakland, CA., and a sister, Mrs. Viola Johnson of San Diego. Mrs. Bourne and Verne Mentch will accompany the body to Winfield. She was a member of the Independence Boulevard Christian Church in Kansas City.
Others expected from out of town for the committal services here will be Mr. and Mrs. Harvery Bourne of Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs.Harry Mentch from Florida.
