Herbert Glenn Greene

Greene, Herbert Glenn, 63, 300 Southside Ave., died in a Dallas, Ga. hospital yesterday at 9:40 a.m., after a sudden illness.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Holderfield Greene; daughters, Mrs. Billy Jack Gray, Glencoe; and Mrs. Robert L. McClure, Montgomery; brother, Raleigh Greene, Dallas, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Geneva Butler, Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Billy Todd Gray, Glencoe; and Kevin, Carla and DeLeea McClure, Montgomery.

Services will be held at Collier-Butler Chapel tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Oscar A. Davis and Rev. Ben Edmondson officiating. Burial, Crestwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Lemley Gaskin, Clyde Duke, L. D. Camp, Kenneth W. Gray, David Fulmer, W. T. Crowe, Lyle Darnell, Kenneth Warren. Honorary pallbearers, Dr. Todd Cross, employees of Life of Georgia Insurance and all personal friends.

Mr. Greene was a native of Dallas, Ga., and a resident of Gadsden for the past 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Hope Mens Sunday School Class. Mr. Greene was a sales representative with The Life of Georgia Insurance Company for 43 years. He was a former District Manager of the Anniston and Gadsden Districts and also a president of the Life Underwriters Association.

The body will remain at Collier-Butler Parlors through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening.
