Born in Layton, N.J. he was a son of the late Charles and Olga Place. He lived in Frelinghuysen
Township for the past 32 years.
Mr. Place served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes Marth, a son Dennis J of Midlan Texas, a daughter, Maxine C. of Knowlton Township, and two brothers, Charles of Belvidere and Donald of Mount Bethel, PA.
A Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Newbaker Funeral Home in Blairstown.
Interment will be at the convenence of the family.
