Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with the Rev. William Bennett, pastor of First Methodist Church, Rock Island, officiating. Burial was in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
Mrs. Bergsten was born Nov. 16, 1879 in Moscow, Iowa, a daughter of James and Lettie Simmons Slater.
She received her education in Moscow, Iowa, and was married to William Bergsten in Clinton, Iowa, in 1898. He died in 1940.
She moved to Rock Island from Moscow in 1898.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Annabelle Biggs of Muscatine, Iowa; and a grandson, William Gordon of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, six sisters and three brothers.
