Age 79, of Owosso, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Hindy was a homemaker and worked for Western Union, the state of Michigan and Meijer Inc.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Nelson - House Funeral Home, with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Burial will take place at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Southfield Michigan. Visitation at the funeral home will be today from 2 to 8 p.m.
Betty was born December 3, 1925, in Pinckneyville, Illinois, the daughter of Brady and Hazel (Scronce) Houghland, and graduating from high school in Pinckneyville, Illinois. She married John Hindy at Highland Park, Michigan.
Survivors include one son, John P. (Valerie) Hindy of Owosso; four grandchildren, Trisha, John W., Jason (Lori) and Justin; one great grand daughter, Emily Grace; and one brother William (Madalyn) Houghland of Garden City, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; one daughter; three brothers; and one sister.
