Wenzel J. Hornick, 85, a lifelong resident of the Marshfield area, died at noon Wednesday while visiting at the home of his son, Walter Hornick, in Richland Center.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church here and burial will be made in the Gate of Heaven cemetery. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh will officiate.
Visitations may be made at the Rembs Chapel, beginning at 3 p.m. Friday. A general rosary service will be held there at 8 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Hornick was born June 3, 1885, in Hewitt where he received his education. He was married in Marshfield to Victoria Ross who preceded him in death. He had lived in the Marshfield area his entire life and had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Company until retirement.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include a son, Walter, Richland Center; four daughters, Mrs. H. O. Hanson, Gulliver, Mich.; Mrs. John McCarthy, Babbitt, Minn.; and Mrs. Joseph Weis and Mrs. Robert Schmid, both of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Borens, Marshfield; and Mrs. Dora Schille, Irvington, N. J.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by five sisters.
