Geraldine "Gerry" L. Ryan, 89, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Manor Care Kingston Court.
She was the wife of the late Harry "Pat" S. Ryan.
Gerry was born in Springfield Township, PA on November 29, 1931, daughter of the late Luther V. and Lestie N. (Ness) Bailey.
Gerry graduated from New Freedom High School, Class of 1949. She retired from York Area Earned Income Tax after 20 years of service. She was a member of Codorus Church of the Brethren. Gerry enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother "Mammaw", always putting her family first.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Ryan of York and Lorie McKinley and her husband, Steve of York; and one granddaughter, Kate McKinley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin E. Bailey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with Pastor Benjamin Godfrey officiating. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Codorus Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
