Age 81, of Canton, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family. Born in Waynesburg on August 23, 1932 to the late Elijah B. and Edna (Motts) Baum, June graduated from East Sparta High School in 1950 and graduated from the Aultman School of Nursing in 1953. She married James D. Fiddler on August 27, 1955. June worked as a Registered Nurse for several doctors in the East Sparta/Magnolia area, including Doctors Crouch, Oberer, Nicoletti, and Gashash. She retired from Hanover House in Massillon in 1999. She loved to garden and bird watch. June was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Fiddler, on June 10, 1987, and brothers, Chester, Paul, Delbert, Robert, and Virgil Baum, and special niece, Carole (Baum) Gross. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Judy) of Massillon, John (Shelley) of Malvern, Robert and Thomas, of Canton; grandsons, Jim Fiddler and Billy Fiddler, of Canton, granddaughters, Brittany (Matt) Weber, of Magnolia, Breanna Fiddler, of East Canton, and Jordan Fiddler, of North Canton and great-grandchildren, Ethan Bumgarter and MacKenzie Weber; sisters, Marie Little, of Bolivar, Doris Farber, of Sandyville, and Barbara (Don) Harper, of Magnolia; brothers, Junior (Gayle) Baum, of Michigan, Ray (Janice) Baum, of Magnolia, and Glen Baum, of Mineral City; a sister-in-law Louise (Virgil) Baum, and a brother-in-law, William (Lucille) Fiddler, of East Sparta; many nieces and nephews, including greats and great-greats. A private graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. There are no calling hours. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family wishes to give special thanks to her caregiver, Chrissy Shanklin, without whom she would have not been able to be at home and also the Aultman Hospice team.
