Age 89, of Sandyville, passed away Tues., Nov. 29, 2016. Born in East Canton, a daughter of the late Elijah and Edna (Motts) Baum, she had been a Sandyville resident since 1952. Doris was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and had been a cashier at the Crossroads Restaurant. Preceded in death by her husband, Thom Farber, on Nov. 30, 1957, six brothers, Chester, Paul, Delbert, Robert, Virgil and Elijah, Jr., and two sisters, June Fiddler and Marie Little. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Charles Saunders, and Tammy and John Klingelhoffer; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Nancy Farber; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Donald Harper; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ray and Janice Baum and Glen Baum; five grandchildren Jennifer Dutter and Jason, Thom Farber, Matthew Saunders and Rebecca, Nathan Saunders and Constance, and Pamela Hurd; and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church with Pastor Miguel A. Acosta officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris's memory may be made to Shepherd's Kitchen, P.O. Box 40, Sandyville, OH 44671-0040.
