Dorothy Nusbaum of Gulfport Fla passed away Wed Oct 12, 2016 at Northside Hospital, St Petersburg, Fl. soon following heart surgery.

Born 1/20/1935 in Creagerstown, MD. She was the youngest daughter of Jenny Biser-Royer and Charles Biser.

She is survived by her children, Debbie and husband Whitey Culler, Kelly Voltz with whom she resided, Kevin Bowman and partner Doug Myers, Anita and husband Wade Stover and Annette and husband Kip Stover.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua and Kelli Culler, Jesse Culler, Wyatt Voltz, Tanner and Marina Voltz, Cortney and Seth Hammond, Cayce Stover, Chip and Emily Stover and Neil and Brittany Stover and 8 great grandchildren.

Dorothy is also remembered by very dear friends, Catherine Culler and sons Keith and David.

Dorothy was the youngest of 7 Biser children along with another 15 Royer siblings. Surviving are Walter (Chub) Biser, Joe Royer, Jeanne Kuhns and Ann Siple High.

Dorothy and Jack Bowman raised their children at the home place in Cascade Md. All family and friends were welcomed at her home. Many locals will remember the annual 4th of July parties held at their home just outside of Ft. Ritchie.

Dorothy and Jack divorced in 1983. Dorothy later met Anthony "Bud" Nusbaum of Thurmont, Md and married in 1986 and soon widowed in 1987.

Dorothy was a member of United Church of Christ of Thurmont and a 30year member of the Cascade American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

A small graveside service will be held at the Weller Cemetery in Thurmont, MD on Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 1:00pm. Followed by a Remembrance of Life at the Cascade American Legion, Cascade, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation .
