Mr. Bruce was a retired carpenter, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, born May 22,
1931, to John A. and Ival Addie O. Morris Bruce.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ginger Lee Flear and Miss Tina Bruce, both of Benton, and three sons, David Allen Bruce, Carbondale, Jimmy Bruce and Allen Bruce, both of Benton. He also leaves two grandchildren; two sisters, Mona Lee Snyder, Benton and Aline Bruce, Chicago, and five brothers, Thomas, Randall and William "Bill" Bruce, all of Benton; Warren Bruce, West Frankfort and J.
R. Bruce.
His parents and a sister, Addie Ofalia Gant preceded him in death.
