Sawyer, Hiram Wilson — of Wisconsin. Democrat. Candidate for Governor of Wisconsin, 1898; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Wisconsin, 1904. Burial Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford, WI.

Hiram Wilson Sawyer was a judge. He was the first mayor of Hartford, Washington, WI from 1883-1885. He has a City of Hartford Park named after him.

Judge Hiram W. Sawyer's old home at the triangle of Main and Branch Streets was purchased from the heirs in 1952 for $6000. The Palmer-Steinmetz Band Shell was cut in half by Mr. LeRoy Schmidt and moved from the Zivko Park to Sawyer Park in 1958. The Hartford City Bank performed weekly concerts here for many years.
