Married 3 times, 1st to Frederick Elliot Lawrence on Nov 7, 1883, then Josiah Galpin Sherman on 4 Apr. 1892, then Albert Aaron Martin on 27 Aug, 1930. She had no children. Her parents were Hiram Sawyer and Barbara Ann Wilson Sawyer.

"She devoted herself all along the way of her pioneer life to helping the children of others obtain an education. she was a leader in the work of the Church, the woman's Club, the Eastern star, the Red Cross, and YWCA and the DAR and other helpful organizations."

"In her octogenarian years, with failing eyesight, she has given generously of herself to the work of typing numerous letters to members of the Sawyer-Wilson families, gathering records to date for this Sawyergennealogy ( Sawyer Traditions). She has surely been worthy of her heritage, which has been her ambition all along the way of her busy interesting and useful life." (Contributed by giraffenut)

Flatwillow:
Named after the willow trees lining Flatwillow Creek, this community was originally called Flatwillow Crossing and began as a trading post in the early 1900s. In 1903, a general store had been built, and by 1918, the town was important in serving the needs of neighboring settlements. With a post office operating from 1883 to 1946, Flatwillow was a prosperous town for several years.
