Harold Holtmeyer, 86, a longtime resident of Lombard, Ill., died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Arden Courts, Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Harold was born March 14, 1929, in Washington, son of the late George Holtmeyer and wife Rose, nee Baumker.

Harold worked as a national bank examiner for the U.S. Treasury for over 50 years. He was a very active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and St. Pius Church, both in Lombard, Ill., and was a resident of Villa St. Benedict prior to moving to Arden Courts.

Harold is survived by his two daughters, Ruth Hoffman and husband George, Naperville, Ill., and Annette Pugnetti and husband Greg, Fairfax, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Ian, Dylan (Jordan), Julia (Adam), Claire (Jesus), Anissa, Dakhita and Imani Hoffman, Gregg, Michael and Christie Pugnetti; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Vincente Hoffman; and four sisters, Thecla McCarthy and husband Terry, Tucson, Ariz., Georgia Schroeder, Union, Rosemary Hendrix, Cape Girardeau, and Carol Babka, St. Louis.

Harold was preceded in death by his two wives, Jean Holtmeyer, nee Collett, and Phyllis Holtmeyer, nee Kelly; his infant daughter, Mary Alice Holtmeyer; his parents; and six siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington. A memorial Mass was held in the chapel at Villa St. Benedict, Lisle, Ill.

Memorials in Harold's memory may be given to the Alzheimer's Association .

Arrangements are in care of Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, Naperville, Ill.
