Her husband, Warren F. Hilbert, passed away on June 30, 2003. Born in Morton, Pa., on January 30, 1921, a daughter of the late William A. and Laura (Douth) Matz.
Agnes was almost 96 years of age.
She lived her early life near Boyertown and she entered the Navy Waves during World War II, where she served at Pearl Harbor and Johnsville Naval Air Station in
Warminster, Pa.
After WWII, she left the Navy and married her husband. Agnes resided in Hyde Park, Pa., and Warminster, Pa., for almost 40 years. After her husband's death, she moved back to Reading, Pa., and then to N.C.
Agnes is survived by her older sister, Dorothy Matz; and her sons, Theodore A. Hilbert and Timothy L. Hilbert; her grandchildren; Mark, Christopher, James and Brittany
Hilbert; and 4 great-grandchildren: Mason, Avery, Cooper and Elizabeth Hilbert.
Services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Auman's, Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd.,
Reading. Burial with Military Honors in Forest Hills
