Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Laura G. (Dauth) Matz.
Resch was employed for 23 years as a forelady by Custom Sports Wear, Reading, retiring in 1971.
She was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia A. (Resch) Loughman, with whom she last resided.
Other survivors include three sisters: Florence H. (Matz) Miller, Cumru Township; D. Laura Matz, Wyomissing; and Agnes V. (Matz) Hilbert, Warminster, Bucks County.
There are also two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de LaSalle Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Shillington, is in charge of arrangements.
