Mrs. R. M. Bohannon Rites Set Thursday Morning at Wise

Funeral services for Mrs. R. M. Bohannon, 69, who died Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock at her residence at 220 Cherry Street, Bonham, will be held at 10 o' clock Thursday morning at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hatley, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Clifford Longino, pastor of the Savoy Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Collin County under the direction of Earnheart Funeral Home of Whitewright.

Mrs. Bohannon, a native of Leonard, had been suffering from heart ailment for the past four years.

She was born Feb. 22, 1886, at Leonard, the daughter of Mrs. G. L. Driggers and the late Mr. Driggers. She was married to R. B. Box in September, 1903. Mr. Box died in 1918 while they were living in Blue Ridge. She was then married to R. M. (Uncle Bob) Bohannon in Bonham on April 26, 1926.

A member of the First Baptist Church, she was active in all the work of the church until ill health prevented further participation. Survivors are her husband, R. M (Uncle Bob) Bohannon; five daughters, Mrs. Pansy Watson of Hugo, Okla., Mrs. Vera Chesser of Whitewright, Mrs. Velma Guest of Houston, Mrs. Marie Strickland of Savoy, Mrs. Robbie Brinton of Dallas; two sons, Jack (Coy) Box and Bill Box, both of Bonham; two step-daughters, Mrs. Flora Hamilton of Waco and Mrs. Florence Hamilton of Austin; two step-sons, Frank Bohannon of Dallas, Fred Bohannon of Pampa, Texas; two sisters Bohannon of Dallas, two sisters, Mrs. Tom Rich of McKinney, Mrs. Oscar Calhoun of Blue Ridge; three brothers, Allie Driggers of McKinney, Virgil Driggers of Noel, Mo., Charles Driggers of Blue Ridge; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. G. L. Driggers of Savoy.

The body will be brought to Wise Funeral Home in Bonham at 4 o'clock this afternoon where it will remain until the services Thursday morning.
