DARLINGTON-Services for Lonnie P. Waddell Jr., 62, will be held at 3 p.m. today at Belk Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Cemetery of Society Hill.
Mr. Waddell died Monday, May 17, 1993. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Lonnie P. Sr. and Carrie Wilkes Waddell. A National Guard veteran, he was a carpenter and a member of Woodman of the Work and Landmark Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Maurice Jeffords Waddell; son Wayne Waddell of Florence; daughters, Evelyn Harding of Clio, Mich.,Janice Karam of Darlington, Betty Andrews of Florence, Debra Rayfield of Chesterfield, and Faye Streett of Darlington; a sister, Dorothy Pigford of Whiteville, N.C.; a stepson, Woody Blanton of Hartsville, a stepdaughter, Cindy Lowry of Darlington; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
