Mr. Canary after his retirement enjoyed gardening and being the neighborhood watchdog to ensure everyone safe. He was like a modern day John Wayne and took his role seriously. Neighbors always went to him in times of trouble.
Members of his family are his two Sons Terry Lee and Frank Russell Canary, Brothers Fred and Jimmy Canary, half-brother Roland Oravetz, half-sister Betty Cooley and many grandchildren.
Mr. Canary was preceded in death by his beloved wife Claudia Belle Canary and his parents William Henry and Mary Canary.
He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He is buried in Resthaven Cemetery.
