Ambrose William Quire passed away on May 6, 2017. He was known to his friends as "Bill."

He was born November 2, 1923 to Elza and Elizabeth Quire in Buechel, KY. He attended and graduated from Jefferson High School.

He joined the Army shortly after, spending eight years in service. He fought in World War II with the European Campaign which took him may places such as Scotland, England, Tunisia, Italy, France, and Germany. He loved serving his country, the many stories he had to tell.

He came to Utah in 1960 where in 1963 he met Maria Apodaca. They were married a short time later. Together they had 2 children, Tina then a boy Ernest.

He worked many jobs. He was a dog catcher, service station attendant, bartender, he also worked at the Soft Valley Barb Wire Co., and finally at Pioneer Care Center as a handy man from which he retired in 1985.

Ambrose is survived by his wife Maria of 55 years; his daughter Tina (Robert) Lewis, Brigham City, UT; son Ernest (LaDawn), Richmond, UT; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 son, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter.
