Louise was born on January 3, 1922, in Ste. Marie, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Sophia (Hoffman) Helregel.
She married Vincent E. Keller on July 1, 1940, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2003.
Louise was a farmer’s wife and homemaker all her life. She was happiest when she was with her family on the farm. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, where she was always involved in working at the Labor day picnic. She was a devout Catholic, who was very devoted to saying the rosary and her daily prayers. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal baseball and playing bingo.
Louise is survived by:
Children – Betty (David) Davison, Margie (Ben) Mason, Joyce (Leonard) Decker, Bob Keller , Dianne (Richard) Purcell, Mary Sue (Randy) Reis, Sharon (Alex) Menichetti and Chris (Donna) Keller.
Brothers – Walter (Donna) Helregel and Dick (Kay) Helregel.
Sisters – Theresa (Delmar) Radke and Mary Ann (Dan) Kuenstler.
16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Lawrence and Albert Helregel and a sister Clorene Ochs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM - Thursday, June 15, 2017, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass.
Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ste. Marie, Illinois.
In loving memory of Louise, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Shrine in Belleville, Illinois.
