BORN: December 14, 1921 at Lorenzo, Texas to Sam Hunter and Janie Cindusky (Rousaville) Burke.

PASSED AWAY: Thursday, November 14, 1996 at Atoka Memorial Hospital.

AGE: 74 years - 11 months - and 0 days

EDUCATION: Attented schools at Lane Elementary and Atoka High School.

MARRIED: Mary Katherine Wise on August 17, 1942 @ Houston, Texas.

OCCUPATION: He worked as a road mechanic and was co-owner and operator of Burke Brothers Garage.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWll at both New Guinea and Southern Philippine, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon & Star, and Commendation for outstanding service from the Major General of the U.S. Army. He also served on the Atoka City Council and as a volunteer firefighter.
