Aileen Tipsword, 92, of Decatur passed away July 15 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 21, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Aileen was born March 21, 1925 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Bertha (Russell) Knapp. She married John Henry Tipsword and he preceded her in death December 11, 1985. Aileen enjoyed sewing and loved her cats through the years.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Primeau and husband David of Salt Lake City, UT, and Carol Sulwer and husband Louie of Oakley; three grandchildren, Jason Sulwer and wife Jen of Brook Park, OH, Christopher Primeau of Salt Lake City, UT, and Tracy Moore and husband David of Springfield.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
