March 7, 1926 - August 16, 2017

New Iberia -- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 21, 2017 for Doris Marie Rajewski Wellbrock, age 91, at Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Teche with Fr. Keith Landry officiating the services. Music and vocals for the mass will be provided by Stephanie Hoffpauir. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 8:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Doris went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Doris was strong in her faith and dedicated her life to serving others in need. She was a humble person who willingly allowed the Holy Spirit to guide her through life. She demonstrated her purpose to love her neighbors through kindness and thoughtfulness. She had an ability to recognize the simple pleasures of life and would rely on the ministry of love to guide her as a lifelong volunteer. She led by example and taught her children the importance of serving others. As her time on earth would begin to wind down, her children stepped up to serve her and be by her side until her final breath.

Survivors include her son Bryan and his wife Dottie Wellbrock of Burlison,TN, her daughter Jo Ann and her husband Robert “Bob” Bollig of Fairfax, VA., son Roger and his wife Janet Wellbrock of New Iberia, daughter Marna and her husband David Carlson of New Iberia, son Gary and his wife Vickie Wellbrock of New Iberia, daughter in law Maggie Wellbrock of Duson, daughter Wanda and her husband Robert “Keith” Begnaud of New Iberia, son Chad Wellbrock of New Orleans and son Chris Wellbrock of Opelousas, her grand children Barbara Younger, Christina Wellbrock, Jennifer Weaver, Patricia Wellbrock, Randall Bollig, Cory Bollig, Rhonna Bollig, Carl Bollig, Sandy Wellbrock, Jenna W. Vollmer, Jason Wellbrock, Rachel Wellbrock, Amy Carlson, Timothy Carlson, Dexter Wellbrock, Nicholas Wellbrock, Brook Begnaud Derouen, Tyler Wellbrock; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Marvin Gilbert Wellbrock, her parents Joseph and Mary B. Rajewski, her son Martin “Tom” Wellbrock, her granddaughter Crystal Begnaud, and her five siblings Gilbert Rajewski, James Rajewski, Mary Catherine Nowak, Theresa Robben and Rita Gibson.

Upholding the honor of pall bearers will be Bryan Wellbrock, Roger Wellbrock, Gary Wellbrock, Chad Wellbrock, Chris Wellbrock, David Carlson, Robert Bollig and Jason Wellbrock.

The honorary pall bearer will be the late Martin “Tom” Wellbrock. Please keep the families of Doris Wellbrock in your prayers.
