PVT US ARMY, WORLD WAR I

Services for Cliff Edward Pruitt of 1089 Beverly Road, a retired employe of the Memphis General Depot, will be held at 2:30 this afternoon at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. Burial will be in National Cemetery. Mr. Pruitt, who was 61, died at 2:15 a.m. yesterday at Kennedy Veterans Hospital. He had been a patient there since Oct. 15. Born at Rossville, Tenn., Mr. Pruitt had worked as a packer at Memphis General Depot until illness forced his retirement in July. He was a Mason and attended St. Luke's Methodist Church. Mr. Pruitt was an Army veteran of World War I. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ethel Pruitt; six brothers Pink Pruitt, R.L. Pruitt, A.L. Pruitt, J.M. Pruitt, all of Memphis, R.F. Pruitt of Bolivar, Tenn., and E.B. Pruitt of Williston, Tenn., and three sisters, Mrs. Etta Mae Carter of Los Angeles, Mrs.H.W. Sherin of Memphis, and Mrs. A.W. Parrott of Somerville, Tenn.
