NATCHEZ, MS. Funeral services for LaFaye Brooks Mullins, 83, of Natchez. MS. who died

Monday, November 20, 2017 at Her Residence will be 11 a.m. Saturday

November 25, 2017 at McNeely Road Church of God with Rev. Brian Monehan and

Rev. L. Paul Hays officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery

in Franklin County under the Direction of Laird Funeral Home.


Visitation will be Saturday 9 a. m. until service time at the Church.


Mrs. Mullins was Born October 30, 1934 in Amite County, MS. She was Delivered by Her Grand Mother Hattie Brooks.


The Daughter of James Candler Brooks and Gladys Larimore Brooks. She was a Member of

McNeely Road Church of God where She served as the Church Secretary for

44 years. She attended Ford School in Amite Co. She played Basketball {Half Court}. There was no Gym so the Team played outside on a dirt court. She was on the Jeff Davis Hospital Team that did the First Electrical Cardioversion Procedure at Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital. She also worked for the Tillman Medical Group for 32 years.


She was preceded in death by Her parents, Two Brothers, Canler Brooks and

Leslie "Bo" Brooks, Two Sisters, Esther Paretti and Sylvia Holland, One

Grandson, Alan Huff # 5030260, and One Son in Law, Steve Troutman, Sr. # 179051315.


Survivors include Her Husband of 67 years of Marriage, L. B. Mullins of

Natchez, MS; One Son, Michael Lynn Mullins and Wife, Judy of Ringgold, GA; One

Daughter, Dani Faye Troutman of Natchez, MS; Two Sisters, Pauline Wilkinson and

Rachel Kester both of Liberty, MS; One Brother, Donald Brooks of Liberty, Ms;

Two Granddaughters, Fayla Guedon and Husband, Noble of Natchez, MS; Amanda Poe

and Husband and Two Children of Georgia; One Grandson, Matt Mullins and Wife,

Amy of Ringgold, GA. Three Great-Grandchildren; Caroline Guedon, Grayson Guedon,

and Madison Mullins (Madison shared Her Birthday with Her "Granny Faye"); and a Number of Nieces and Nephews.


Married in Meadville, MS; Dec. 26,1950; Best Man, Walter Hammock.

Her Wedding Dress was Placed over Her before Her Casket was Sealed.


Pallbearers will be; Noble Guedon, Grayson Guedon, Charles Mullins, Matt Mullins,

Bobby Moore, Eual Ray Parris, and Bo Halford.


Honorary Pallbearers will be, Rev. Julius Roberts, Lonnie Freeman, Joel Foster,

Curtis Cowart, Charles "Man" Mullins Jr., Philip Brooks, Gary Messer, Carroll James Ogden and Dr. Randy Tillman.


In lieu of Flowers , Memorials may be made to McNeely Road Church of God.
