Clem served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was a mechanic by trade and flew planes for pleasure. He was a deep sea fisherman, spending winters in Florida. He owned Seelinger Topsoil for more than 50 years.
In addition to his parents, Clem was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Volkman Seelinger, to whom he was married for only a year prior to her early passing. He was then blessed with 42 years of marriage to Nellie M. Coffman Seelinger before her passing. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Ann (d 9/25/2015 age 61); two sons, John M. and Ronald J. Seelinger; and one sister, Florence Granahan.
Clem is survived by two daughters, Kimberly M. Law (Daniel), and Laurie A. Holaway (Terry); four brothers, Charles, Leonard, Kenneth and Neal (Rose) Seelinger; five sisters, Cecelia Duncan, Doris Walsh, Edith Jeanne Johnston (John), Sarah Judith Warren and Jane Hamilton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
