Age 82, daughter of the late Michael and Freeda Lindsley Seelinger. Jean was a homemaker and a member of St. Boniface R.C. Church. Jean enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, and hosting numerous get-togethers with family and friends on her back deck. Jean was a social member with the Zem Zem Cycle Corps of Erie, and a member of the Hillbilly Clan #90.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Michele Rene in 1963; sisters, Florence Granahan, Cecelia Duncan, and Sarah (Judy) Warren; brothers, Clarence and Charles Seelinger; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John M. Johnston, Sr. whom she married on July 1, 1961; her two sons, John Jr. "JJ" and his wife "Cookie" of Greene Township; and Richard and his wife Heather of Wattsburg; four grandsons; two sisters, Doris Walsh and Jane Hamilton; three brothers, Lenerd, Kenneth, and Neal (Rose), all of Erie; and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
