MRS. GROSS' FUNERAL HELD HERE TUESDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. G. Frank Gross who passed away Friday night were held from the Community Presbyterian Church here Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
Lena Belle Gross, daughter of John B. and Martha Elizabeth (Sears) Atteberry was born near La Plata on May 18, 1887 and departed this life on Apr. 5, 1941, being at the time of her death 53 years, 10 months and 17 days of age.
On Dec. 24, 1903 she was united in marriage to G. Frank Gross and to this union three children were born, Herbert Leon, who is employed at the post office here, and Raymond Gail, who is employed as the substitute city mail carrier, and Maudie Corrine Gross of Kirksville. These children, with her husband, are left to mourn her passing. She is also survived by a half-sister, Mrs. C.A. Coleman of Callao; and two half-brothers, Ed Bunch of Gould, Arkansas, and Arthur Bunch of Denver, Colorado; other relatives and many friends in the community in which she had lived a number of years.
