Marvin Hofmann, of Holiday Island, Ark., was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Clay Center, Kan., and passed away Nov. 24, 2010.

He attended Kansas State University. He worked as a regional manager for Ross-Martin Co.

He entered the Army in 1943 and was discharged in 1946, achieving the rank of Corporal. He served combat in the European Theater in France, Germany, Italy and Austria in the 103rd Division Artillery.

He married Joan Ramsey on Jan. 31, 1948. They had one daughter

A memorial service is to be held at Peachtree Village Retirement Community in Holiday Island on Dec. 3, 2010, with Rev. Bob Huston, retired, of the Holiday Island Presbyterian Church, officiating.
