Joseph Hancher Dies at Mercy Hospital Today
Joseph Hancher, 77, unmarried, residing at 322 1/2 South Anderson street, died at the Mercy hospital at 9:30 o'clock this morning of infirmities of age and complications. He wsa removed to the hospital two weeks ago.
He was the son of Morgan and Elizabeth Hancher and was born in Ross county, Ohio, August 27, 1860. Mr. Hancher was employed by the Nickel Plate railroad company as a crossing watchman.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Brown and Mrs. Emma Bower, both of Elwood.
The body was removed to the Clark Chapel where funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. W. Wittkamper in charge. Burial will be made in the city cemetery.
