FULLERTON -- Mildred Jean Dubas, 88, of Fullerton, passed away Feb. 13, 2018, at Hospice of the Valley, Friendship Village in Tempe, Arizona.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peters Catholic Church in Fullerton, with Fr. David Fulton officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a 7 p.m vigil service and rosary at the church. Interment will be in the Fullerton Catholic Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mildred was born Sept. 8, 1929, to Edward and Eleanora (Zulkoski) Jurzenski, west of Greeley in Greeley County. She attended elementary school at District 19 and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Greeley in 1948.

On Sept. 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to Stephen W. Dubas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Greeley. To this union seven children were born. They lived east of Wolbach for six years. They then moved to the North Star area where they resided until moving to a farm 4 1/2 miles west of Fullerton in 1964. In 1977 they moved to Fullerton. She lived in Nance County most of her life where she helped on the farm and raised the children. She also was an Avon sales consultant for 18 years until retiring in 2010.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and St. Anne's Altar Society.

She enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially attending their activities and ballgames. She also enjoyed polka music, and traveling to visit many family members and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Robin) Anderson of Portland, Oregon, and Mary Renner of Fullerton; five sons Ed (Kendra) Dubas of Lincoln, Joe (Sandy) Dubas of Mesa, Arizona, Pat (Colette) Dubas of Woodbine, Iowa, Paul (Teddi) Dubas of Bennet and Steve (Michelle) Dubas of Stromsburg; 10 granddaughters; 11 grandsons; 25 great-grandchildren; one sister Elaine Foltz of Greeley; brother-in-law Dan (Betsy) Dubas of Columbus; sisters-in-law Anne Bialas of Fullerton, Leona Kozak of Columbus, Phyllis Dubas of Columbus, Kathryn Dubas of Palmer, Bonnie Dubas of Grand Island, Marge Dubas of Columbus, Florence Dubas of Fullerton; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steve W. Dubas, who passed away Sept. 18, 2013; her parents; one great-granddaughter Kaya Hunt; one sister Delores (Jack) Nowak; one brother Bernard Jurzenski; brothers-in-law Fritz Foltz, Leo (Minnie) Dubas, Edwin (JoAnn) Dubas, Al Dubas, Louis Dubas, Frank Dubas, Emil Dubas, Larry Dubas, Al Kozak; sisters-in-law Helen Kozak, Jeanette (Ron) Urkoski.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date in lieu of flowers.
