COLUMBIA - Mr. William Everett Richardson , 78, of Hartsville, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Ralph E. Richardson and Bessie Irene Sanders Richardson . He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church. He retired from Palmetto Sign Company after 43 years of loyal service. Mr. Richardson was an avid fisherman and an artist, specializing in neon glass. He also paved and operated the Columbia Speedway in the 1970s. He loved the S.C. State Fair and had worked at Richard-son's Concessions for the last 36 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his life.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, in the Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service, in the Gazebo. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Surviving are his loving wife of over 30 years, of the home, Sally Brown Richardson ; his daughters, Janet Richardson Carter and husband, William of Columbia, and Ashleigh Miranda Richardson of Hartsville; three granddaughters, Alison Marie Carter, Nicole Carter Elledge and Shannon Renee' Carder; two great-granddaughters, Carter Elledge and McKenna Carder. He was preceded in death by Ralph Ed-win Richardson , Jr. and Ruby Richardson Able.
