Audrey was born in Somerset, Kentucky, a daughter of David and Ruth (Richardson) Adams. She married Lewis Wells, who preceded her in death. She later married Virgil G. Newman in 1968. He too preceded her in death in 2015.
Audrey was a seamstress and a subcontractor for T.E. Scott Company in Avon for 25 years. She was a charter member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Brownsburg.

Wells - Columbus, Indiana, Donald Newman - Pittsboro, Jerry Newman - Coatesville, Patty (Allen) Neal - Danville, Rhonda Walters - Brownsburg, 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers, Bill Adams - Bardstown, Kentucky, Ray Adams - Greensburg, Anthony Adams - North Vernon, Indiana, sisters, Thelma Burdine - Salt Lake City, Utah, and Faye Whitaker and Betty Long, both of Greensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sat., Mar. 3, 2018 in the Jamestown Church of God of Prophecy, located at 8 Elm St. with visitation there from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the K. of P. Cemetery at Lizton.
